Darwin is very TOURISTY! We won't try and bombard you with the infinite number of activity choices. No doubt you are already aware of Kakadu, Litchfield and Mindil Markets. Information regarding the obvious tourist attractions are already abundantly publicised on the internet and in tourist brochures. Darryl recommends the touristy attractions ofcourse, but he has some great suggestions on how to see these attractions and the best way to plan your itinerary with the time you have.
DARWIN CITY SIGHTS TOUR
Take a personalised 2 hour chauffeured limousine tour with a long
term local that will include Stokes Hill Wharf, Cullen Bay Estate, Bayview
Estate, Nightcliff foreshore, Darwin Waterfront, Parliament House, East
Point Military Museum, Marrara Sporting Complex, Mindil Beach, Botanical
Gardens and a couple of not so well known spots that the big tour coaches
cannot get into. Some people choose to take it after they arrive and before
checking into their hotel room (which is normally 2.00 pm). Or on the way
back to the airport on their way home. In Darryl's view this tour
gives you an instant snapshot of Darwin and is really worthwhile.

$200 (max 4 persons)
Territory Wild Life Park/Berry Springs tour
Darryl offers a 0915 city pick up to go to Territory Wildlife Park and after that with whatever time is left we can go short 2 km distance to the beautiful Berry Springs for a relaxing swim. We will arrive back at City Accommodation by 3.15pm.
Cost $600 for 6 hours - (max 4 persons). If additional time is needed it will be at $95 per hour or part thereof.

MANY THINGS TO SEE AND DO!
There are many ways you can use your time and one is by combining some of the smaller attractions together to plan the perfect day! Don't forget to have rest days though and drink plenty of water while out and about. The Darwin weather can be very draining especially if you are not used to humidity and heat. The city water is very drinkable so there is no need to buy expensive 'bottled' water in Darwin. Just grab a container and fill it up with our beautiful water from any tap.
A few examples of Darryl's recommendations (and approximate times required to do these trips) include:
- Litchfield National Park (8 hours)
- Jumping Crocs Cruise (4 hours)
- Fish Feeding, City (1-2 hours)
- Territory Wildlife Park combined with swim at Berry Springs (6 hours)

- Tiwi Islands trip, Tiwi (Day Trip)
- Crocodylus Park, Berrimah (2-3 hours)
- Hire a houseboat on the Mary River (Day plus)
- Sunset dinner cruise on Darwin harbour (2 hours)
- NT Museum & Art Gallery (free admission) to see the Cyclone Tracy Room and magnificent examples of Aboriginal art. At the front of the Museum is also a great café/coffee shop called Cornucopia, with beautiful ocean views.
- City sights tour with Darryl (an ideal way to fill in a couple of hours before your plane departs or upon arrival/waiting for your hotel room to become available) (2 hours)
Arafura Sailing Adventures - Luxury 50ft catamaran
- 7 day cruise to Cobourg and Tiwi Islands – food, land permits, land component costs included but BYO drinks. Max of four couples. (May to October only)
- 3 day Bare Sand Island and Bynoe Harbour – food but BYO drinks. Max of 4 couples.

Standby bookings for cars
Pre-booked fee is $100 per hour. This means if car is pre booked for a certain number of hours, and not fully utilised, the full number of pre booked hours will be charged.
